Education and Training

A priority of the Analytical Chemistry Core is education-based training. The ACC provides instrument access and guidance for users to learn data acquisition, analysis and interpretation. Core users including students, postdocs, and faculty are able to learn how to design, optimize and troubleshoot analytical experiments. This facilitates the iterative process necessary to advance discovery.

Walk-up Instrument Access

The ACC offers walk-up instrument access to an Agilent HPLC-UV-MS and an Agilent UHPLC-QTOF systems. New users are required to have instrument training before being granted instrument access. Support from Core Staff is available at any stage of a project.

Staff-run Services

The ACC offers staff-run services for all Harvard Medical School investigators, external academic and industry users. This includes method development, optimization, sample preparation, data acquisition, and data analysis using a Thermo UHPLC-Orbitrap system. The ACC accepts material up to and including BSL-2 and RG-2 as well as non-fixed human derived samples that include saliva, blood (whole, serum, plasma), cerebrospinal fluid, urine and feces.
